v1)
I had a dream one morning, in a field
There was someone singing, far away
Using notes that I have, never heard
I tried to find her but she ran away
Chorus)
There is nowhere she can hide, I will find her heart somewhere
Nowhere she can hide, no more
v2)
It was winter when I followed here
On a forest trail, deep in snow
There were valleys and high mountain peaks
I climbed those mountains but she ran away
v3)
Now that girl is far away from me
And days of dreaming have all gone away
I left my youth on that small field of grass
I tried to find it but it's gone away

Happy?
02:59

v1)
You never told me that you knew me then
I thought you cared, but then again
You always say goodbye and start to leave
I thought you'd stay, but then again
Chorus)
You're hiding yourself from all you see
Don't tell me that you are happy
v2)
Everything that I know about that night
Comes from the things that we both know
Time is the one thing that we both look to
Finding a way through our regret

Lonely people
03:10
|
|||
v1)
Lonely streets, lonely people
Reading books, on late buses
In their suits, of newspaper
Telling me, of missing people
Chorus)
Where do they belong?
Where do they come from?
v2)
People moving, through, empty streets
Holding phones, that, never ring
Where's the future, of these people
Rushing nowhere, they'll, be there soon
v3)
People share, some understanding
Of what they want, and where they're going
I don't know, what they're thinking
About the world, in which they're standing

Writing lyrics and thinking Oh what fun!

Listen too
02:51
|
|||
1 So you listen to what's on the radio
And you tell me that it doesn't bother you
But to me I can't see the difference
Say can't you see? That it's not me.
2 The stuff they're playing sounds so innocuous
Jack hammer sounds as apples to chocolates
But to me I can't see the difference
Say can't you see? That it's not me.
ch Don't tell me you know me by now
Don't tell me you've time for this now
3 How can you say that you find it difficult
I'm sure you think it's merely improbable
There's something here that I'm having trouble with
Say can't you see? That it's not me.
4 How can you tell me you find it musical
Everything about it seems difficult
You could say that I'm over all of it
Say can't you see? That it's not me.
m8 You find it so hard, to listen to what I say
I'm not always wrong, so can't you see just what I mean?

1 Floating through my window
Floating through my mind
I don't know where the wind blows
But I have lots of time
2 Swimming through a river
Big fish swimming by
Painting with their fingers
But I don't know why
ch I've nothing on my mind
There's nothing new
Floating through my window, with you
3 Dining over water
Breaking bread with you
I don't know where the salt is
I think it's passed my by

This is not
02:30
|
|||
1 I know that what I've said
Sounds like nothing you've ever read
You may think that I'm wrong
That doesn't matter to me at all
ch Listen to me now
Though you think I'm wrong
This is not my fault
Please believe me now
2 Give me the time to hear
Saying nothing won't make it clear
It's all I think about, night and day
I'll take whatever comes my way
m8 This isn't what I meant
This isn't what I said
How can I prove it to you?
3 Running 'round, I've always knowm
Taking time to understand
Though it's clear that I should go
I never could and you know why
|
||||

You know you're my scene
02:53
|
|||
1 You know you're my scene pretty baby, yeah
And I've been thinking of you lately
Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah
2 And everybody wants to know you, yeah
But I've been thinking only of you
Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah
ch You are the one I'm thinking of
You are the one, don't be long
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah
3 I think that I'm the one to tell you, yeah
About the things they say about you, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah

Eldrad must live Adelaide, Australia
I bought my first guitar from Carlton Longhurst. As far as I can remember I paid him $7.50 - it was 1982/83. It was a
three-quarter sized classical and I loved it.
I formed a band with old friend Stephen Orr, our first band was Nimrod's Kat.
After this I played with Paradox, then with Pogo in two incarnations.
Playing again now with Steve Orr every now and then.
